What do you do on a rainy Saturday???
You invent a project!!
I took these items......
And added them to this.......an old window frame.
I created this!!! All with objects I already had....and free!!!
I added extras like these cherubs.....
Could you guess what it was?????
A jewelry holder!!!
I had been wanting a jewelry holder.....lots of them couldn't hold even half of my jewelry and they wanted $150 for them!!! I have so many other things to spend my money on (yard sales)!!!
Each necklace is separated from another....no more tangles! Earrings are all visible (at least the wire ones....still looking for a solution for the other kind). Hair accessories.....all in one place!!
The frame was free.....the posts were free from the trash.....the springs....free......the diamond mesh for the top and bottom.....free......The only things I actually paid for were the cherubs ($1.00 for the pair), the metal flowers on top (.50), the architectural details on the top were a flea market find, and the mirror hooks around the bottom (.99 each.....a long time ago)!!! The entire project for everything was around $7.50.....but, no money out of hand today.....everything I had on hand.
I love it!!! I can see all of my jewelry!!! I found things I had forgotten I had.
My daughter paid me the biggest compliment....she said she wanted one!!!!

Visiting from Homemaker on a Dime. Wow! That is a seriously fancy jewelry holder. Are the springs attached right to the wall? I couldn't tell from the image.

Now this is what I like...a project made from treasures I already have. Love those springs, what a great idea to hold jewelry. Actually,it's a wonderful piece all by itself too. Great imagination!
