Finally.....A Potting Bench!

I'm joining Cindy @ My Romantic Home for Show and Tell Friday!

I thought and thought about how I could make a potting bench. I love all the others I've seen and really wanted one of my own.

Well, I'm sure you remember these shelves?

I finished painting them...... Went to Michael's yesterday and found this sign (clearance $5.99). I really, really wanted it.

Found these little planters..........2 for $5.00! I HAD to have these. I went walking around my yard looking for any kind of furniture to set these shelves on and it hit me (not literally) I have an old table sitting outside!! This table belonged to my grandmother and she kept it in her yard (let's just say rusty and falling apart). But really, why do things just come to you all of a sudden when it's been there all along?

So, I got to work. I painted the rusty table (forgot to take a before....sorry) and began on the shelves...........

more shelves..............

Found these flowers on clearance at Home Depot for $1.50! Free chair and wash tub.

Here it is again.....can you tell I'm excited? I'm so pleased with the way it turned out. It does need tweaked....a little. I need to make a run to the Dollar Tree. I found a couple of bird prints to stick in here and there. Overall I love the look, cottage at it's best!

Have a great weekend!

    How gorgeous!
I, too, shop around the house, and scratch my head, thinking, what can I use for _______?
It's hard to see our own stuff sometimes with fresh eyes, isn't it?
The table goes wonderfully with the shelves!
