Lamp Shade Redo #2

Here is a lovely lamp I purchased at Rose's for $15.00. I did buy 2 so I would have a matching set. I painted the base white but, wasn't quite sure what to do about the shade. This is my shabby version.....I wanted to incorporate the pink and white. The lamp shade was too pretty to throw it out.
I wasn't happy but thought it would suit the purpose until something better came along.

Here is the second after. It looks so much better with my cherub lamp. I went to Hobby Lobby and bought the ribbon on a roll. It's so cute it's velvet and little ruffles!!!! I placed the ribbon trim on all of the existing seams of the shade. The ribbon trim was on sale for 1/2 price. I also added the large trim at the bottom. It was on clearance for @ $1.17 a yard!!

I redid 3 shades for nearly nothing. Now all three of my cherub lamps have coordinating shades!

  1. What a wonderful idea. You certainly did an excellent job on remaking those lamps.
