This is my daughters bed before. As you know we're making over her bedroom. Her aunt offered her this great bed. She has been SO EXCITED!!!! I told her she could take the before pics....and here they are....before's by a 10 yr. old!!! It's actually a captains bed. It came out of a college dorm room....which is perfect because her room is small. It has 4 large drawers. The front had been painted white...sortive......
Here is a sneak peek of how it turned out!!! She painted the entire bed black. I decided to use leftover paper from the cornice to cover the drawers.
I need to make a trip to Hobby Lobby for new handles. We still have to paint and I have lots of spray painting and sewing to do!!! I'll keep you posted!
After lots of painting......

ReplyDeleteWhen it is all done, she will be delighted. It seems you are heading in the right direction.
ReplyDeleteLOVE!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou are so so so so creative!
I love how you take something and give it a brand new outlook :)
I want to apologize if I said something last week that may have hurt you when I mentioned that your pictures should be bigger.
I was thinking about it, and I thought you may have taken that the wrong way--like I was trying to tell you how to do something better.
When, all I really meant was, that I love your ideas and home, and that I would love to see more/bigger pictures of your ideas and home.
Does that make sense?
Anyway, I hope I didn't come across as a ninny-poo when I typed that. It was meant in the nicest way to encourage you!
You are loved!

Crystal, your daughter's bed is going to be a knockout!!! I can already tell it's fabulous! I can hardly wait to see the finished reveal!
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting my blog and your kind words! I looked at my pictures last night after the Rubber Ducky Shower and to my horror, I forgot to take a picture of the cupcakes...I asked a few of the girls if they happened to get one and so far nada. I have one more person to ask. They turned out so cute, but I had so many things on the table I left the desserts in the kitchen and ugh, they were put on the plates and handed out from there! :( And many ppl took one or two home and I was left with only one, that had been robbed of it's Rubber Ducky...I believe the robber was aka Lulu (my Granddaughter)! She loooves fondant! Hugs, Debbie@ Cottage Hann~Me~Downs
