What do you mean there are only two?

I've been thinking and thinking....(I know it's really NOT ever a good thing).....about the best of both worlds. If you say the best of both it means only two. Two? Only two worlds....I beg to differ.

                                                           There is the antique world......

The white......

The French inspired.....

A simple, serene white......

Pink and roses......

And I can't leave out my country roots.......

Hmmm, I've thought about it.....(still not a good thing).....I guess I just need another house.....or a  bigger house....a play house???? I just can't seem to part with any of it. I've heard designer's say for years "buy what you like"....I have and look where it's gotten me!!! I guess I'll pack another load of goodies up for storage!! Have a great Saturday!!!!

Pattern Flower

Do you remember the box of old patterns I bought a few weeks ago??? Then I went back the following week to buy the rest??? I did leave the other box for someone else to grab.....they didn't want them....it was O K I took them all!!!!

I knew I would use them for something!! I have another idea for them...but here is a rosette I made with them!!!!

I love the dark vintage color. I think I should make lots of these!!!!

Well, that's my only project for the day!!! Have a great day!!!!

Outdoor Project

This is a project I have had on "the list" for a while. It's just been finding the time. I bought this old book at a bag sale. So honestly it cost nearly nothing. I ripped every page of the entire book out and sat and strung pages on a piece of jute.

This is the end result!! I love the way it turned out....my first try too!!

I had been thinking for a while this spot on the front of my house would be the perfect place for this quilt rack!

I added some spare greenery, a birds nest,  and added this little plaque into and old coal bucket. The bucket has a rusty bottom....but who will ever know?

I added several different things to the top of the shelf. I can see it changing frequently!!!

Well, this is spring break....I have lots of cleaning to do!!!!!

Can I Make A Commitment???

Why, when I was ready to take a picture the dog jumps up on the couch??? Hmmm, maybe he's trying to tell me something!!!
lol....moving on......
Can I make the commitment???
Good question......Can I be completely committed to a color???
I have lots of yummy pink.....

                                  But right now....this very second.....I want white....EVERYWHERE!!!!

It's a lot to think about. I need the next month to decide and conquer!!!

Busiest 2 WKs.....EVER

This by far has been the busiest 2 weeks ever (of the school year anyway)!! I spent most of last week testing at school (talk about stress) and this week Open House!! I go to school early and stay late!!! Yuck!!! It's well worth it....but, I'm so tired!! I'll have great pics of the house to share with you though!!!
I did manage to throw together a vignette this morning. I think I like it....time will tell whether I'm in love with it or not!!!
I still have lots of projects....most on the back burner for now.....I found this awesome skirt....I would wear it but, it's a size 4. Hmmm, let's see.....I could have been a size four at birth....(might as well have been....because I can't even remember)!!! This was another find at the bag sale. I think it would make an awesome drawstring handbag.
This is another handbag project. I thought this one would be too easy....throw a flower on and done!!! Never that easy!!! It has a small spot on one of the corners....now it must have a ruffle to cover the flaw.
But, honestly who can get ANYTHING done with 5 of these cuties running around. I really didn't know they would be so much work once they became mobile!!! As you can see.....they are ransacking EVERYTHING!!! They are tiny but destructive!!!
Well, off to school I go......early....again.....I'm so ready for the school year to be O-VER!!!!! I have projects to do!!!!

Fit For A Queen!!!

What do you do on a rainy Saturday???
You invent a project!!
I took these items......

And added them to this.......an old window frame.

I created this!!! All with objects I already had....and free!!!

I added extras like these cherubs.....

Could you guess what it was?????
A jewelry holder!!!

I had been wanting a jewelry holder.....lots of them couldn't hold even half of my jewelry and they wanted $150 for them!!! I have so many other things to spend my money on (yard sales)!!!
Each necklace is separated from another....no more tangles! Earrings are all visible (at least the wire ones....still looking for a solution for the other kind). Hair accessories.....all in one place!!

The frame was free.....the posts were free from the trash.....the springs....free......the diamond mesh for the top and bottom.....free......The only things I actually paid for were the cherubs ($1.00 for the pair),  the metal flowers on top (.50), the architectural details on the top were a flea market find, and the mirror hooks around the bottom (.99 each.....a long time ago)!!! The entire project for everything was around $7.50.....but, no money out of hand today.....everything I had on hand.
I love it!!! I can see all of my jewelry!!! I found things I had forgotten I had.
My daughter paid me the biggest compliment....she said she wanted one!!!!
A jewelry holder fit for a queen!!!

I'm joining LOTS of parties this week!!!

Free Shopping!!!

Hello everyone!!! My birth week has been great...busy....but great!!! Thanks for all the birthday wishes!! I wanted to share with you what we did on Thursday. We keep our horses on an old farm and there are so many treasures there!!! Sometimes it's nice to just go exploring to see what you can find. I went there to find bed springs (for a project I actually finished) but found so much more!!!

My sweet husband and youngest daughter went with me and we found such great treasures!!!! I love the color of these.....

I love the mix of things (some newer and the old).

I love these white, milky bottles.....they are my favorites!!!!

Lots of clear bottles......the small ones are so sweet!!!

I love the old lid!!! The cup has a rusty bottom.....perfect for display. The other little cup will make a great planter for a flower. The large jar is the perfect size for ribbon....what luck!!!

We honestly left lots of bottles up there....believe it or not!!! But, I brought an entire crate and bucket home!!! Some for projects, some for storage, but  mostly reminders of a great day!!! It's so sweet my family went digging in the trash to find me treasures!!!
